Not only is SPIRE a great opportunity to work with other people on projects and to go above and beyond the AKS, but it is also a tight knit community in which everyone really connects as a class. We share inside jokes, struggle together (in a good way!), and most of all we learn to work together and get work done. –Leah Woldai

SPIRE was a wonderful experience. I personally benefited through the project based learning approach by developing leadership skills. SPIRE teaches much more than science concepts; we actually implement the concepts which gives us a real-world understanding of how what we learn is relevant in our lives. --Errol Kelly
